Whether it’s the twinkling city lights from a miradouro (Photo 46) or the moody silhouettes by the river (Photo 45), the “Night Session” in Lisbon is cinematic and edgy. The secret is timing. For Alfama, I always recommend early morning to avoid the tourist rush. For Belém and the river, we use the vastness of the space to our advantage, finding angles that make it look like you have the whole city to yourselves.
Lisbon is known as the “City of Seven Hills” for a reason! The cobblestones (calçada) are beautiful but can be slippery. I suggest wearing comfortable, stylish boots or flats for the walking segments, and we can switch to “glam” shoes once we reach our specific spots.
