Fog and Fairytales in Sintra
I don’t usually do family sessions, but for Bruna, Rafael, and little Duarte, I had to make an exception. We headed up to Peninha, the highest point of the Sintra hills, famous for its rugged chapel and 360-degree views of the Atlantic.
We arrived to find a wall of thick fog and a biting chill—a dream for anyone looking for “out of the ordinary” photos. Duarte ran wild through the clouds, and I edited these with a specific mood: cooler, blueish tones for the mist, while keeping their skin tones warm and alive. After the mountain mist, we headed down to the beach for some sun and sand. Peninha is unpredictable, but that’s exactly why it produces the most soulful images in Portugal.
