Being an Alenquer local, shooting at Quinta da Taipa feels like home. This venue is a beautiful mix of rustic barn vibes and elegant garden spaces. Carmo and Francisco’s day was a classic Portuguese celebration, including the baptism of their son during the church ceremony.

They skipped the formal mini-session to spend more time with their people, which I love. But the shot of the night? The couple entering the dinner behind LED balloons. I caught their kiss through the reflection of the balloon. It’s not perfectly in focus, and that’s exactly why it’s one of my favorite shots ever. We ended the night with the bride in cowboy boots and a second dress—total rockstar vibes under the Alenquer stars.
