This was a classic Portuguese celebration. We started at Pousada do Castelo de Palmela, where the single-window lighting gave me those moody, “Chiaroscuro” painting vibes for the portraits.

Everyone needs a little nudge into the right position, and these portraits are proof that a little direction goes a long way. After a church ceremony, we moved to Quinta do Nevada III, a venue known for its incredible food and garden spaces. My new Fujifilm camera really shone here—the colors in the garden session were some of the richest I’ve captured all year.
